“Removal of the existing bath was efficient and tidy, and installation of the new setup was quick. Robby and Keri A. explained each step clearly, were polite and good humored, cleaned up after themselves, and were comfortable to have in the house. We would recommend Southern Showers to friends and neighbors.”
Michiko P. · Google review
This Gainesboro family was adding on to their home, and the new bathroom was nothing but framing, insulation and subfloor. We built the shower from scratch: a 36" x 60" Southern Showers solid-surface base with a center drain, gray and white stone-look walls, a recessed caddy, two corner shelves and a foot pedestal, all behind a barn-style sliding glass door. We extended the drain and water lines so their plumber could finish the hookup.
Completed July 2026 in Gainesboro, TN.
Shower base
36" x 60" solid-surface base, center drain
A roomy, seamless base with a low step-in that’s easy to clean and won’t trap grime in grout lines.
Walls
Premium solid-surface walls with gray and white stone veining
The look of natural stone with no grout to scrub or seal, and a surface that resists mold and mildew.
Storage
Recessed caddy and two corner shelves
The caddy sits flush in the wall, so bottles stay put without crowding a busy family shower.
Comfort
Built-in foot pedestal
A steady spot to rest your foot while you shave or wash, with no stool to trip over.
Enclosure
Barn-style sliding glass door
Heavy clear glass rolls open on top-mounted hardware and shows off the stone-look walls.
Setup
Drain and water lines extended for the homeowner’s plumber
The shower was ready for final hookup, so the family could pick their own fixtures.

Yes. The Gainesboro shower on this page went into a framed space in a home addition with no old shower at all. We measure the framing, set the base and walls and get the lines ready for final hookup.
It’s a thick, non-porous panel made to look like stone or marble. There’s no grout, so it wipes clean, doesn’t stain easily and resists mold and mildew far better than tile.
Most installs take one day once the space is ready. If plumbing needs to be moved or extended first, we’ll explain that and set the schedule with you at your free consultation.
For a 60" wide shower, it’s a great fit. The panels slide instead of swinging out, so they don’t need floor space, and clear glass makes the bathroom feel open.
Every shower we install is covered by our Lifetime Warranty on both the product and the labor. If something isn’t right with your new shower, you call us and we make it right.
